RSCDS Wirral Branch Hogmanay Ceilidh 2009
Despite freezing cold weather, a good crowd of Members and friends
turned out to celebrate the coming New Year at St Stephen's Church Hall,
Prenton on Thursday, 31st December 2009. The new heating system, recently
installed, ensured comfortable surroundings - in spite of the noise from the
hot air blowers! Good dancing, good company and good food - what more
could we want? Click on the image below to see a few photographs of
our star performers on the night.

St Andrews Summer School 2009 (Week 1)
A small contingent of RSCDS Wirral Branch members attended Summer School
at St Andrews this year (Week 1). Wirral Branch were very pleased that
Faye (one of our youngest members) and Liz had been invited to take part in
the customary demonstrations at the end of the week. Here is a short
video showing 3 of the demonstrations.

Ferreries throughout the summer season as well as at hotels in Cala Galdana.
They have toured extensively in Spain and France.
With the kind permission of Grup de Ball Es Penell, 3 short video clips of
their exciting, complex and very lively dancing are shown - take a look.

RSCDS Wirral Branch Hogmanay Ceilidh. New Years Eve in Prenton, Birkenhead
was one of the coldest nights of the year. The hall heating struggled to
cope (and failed) so we had to dance vigorously to keep warm! Monica Bayliss
was very brave to demonstrate her exotic dance (and costume).
